This past weekend, Santa Barbara, CA hosted the Edible Institute’s 2012 Annual Conference, which saw over 75 Edible editors from across the country converge to attend workshops, talks, and presentations covering all aspects of the local food movement. Influential writers, thinkers, and producers were invited to speak at the event which was also attended by outside editors from such publications as the LA Times, NY Times, Bon Apetite and Real Eats, among others. Edible Communities, which put on the event, is the organization responsible for the Edible magazines that have recently become a staple in various cities across the country. The quarterly publications cover topics related to the burgeoning local food movement in their respective cities and regions.
Be Green worked with Christie Communications to donate plates and soufflé cups to the event which served up a wide selection of Santa Barbara local foods and wines.
